arnold renderer workstations

arnold renderer workstations

An advanced Monte Carlo ray tracing renderer built for the demands of CPU or GPU-based rendering of feature-length animation and visual effects, Arnold is used at over 300 studios worldwide.

Originally co-developed with Sony Pictures Imageworks and now their primary renderer, Arnold is used at ILM, Framestore, MPC, The Mill, Digic Pictures, and other studios. Notable motion picture projects that have implemented Arnold include The Avengers, Gravity, Thor, and Guardians of the Galaxy, but to take full advantage of its features, you need Arnold renderer workstations or render nodes purpose-built for Arnold.

Local Rendering

The ray tracing process is hardware intensive and requires substantial computing power, so without a workstation purpose-built for local CPU or GPU rendering, you’ll fail to optimize Arnold performance. BOXX offers state-of-the-art CPU and GPU Arnold renderer workstations which dramatically accelerate local rendering.

Dedicated Rendering

Rendering is a computationally intensive task, so it should be offloaded. CPU rendering your 3D assets is a highly multi-threaded process, so the more CPU cores you have in your system, the better. GPU rendering requires multiple, professional graphics cards. The purpose of a 3D design workstation is to create and maintain productivity, which comes to a halt when you tie up your system with rendering final frame animation sequences. BOXX offers unique, dedicated, CPU and GPU rendering Arnold recommended hardware.
